|And Misfit Posts|
Similarly, at Dude Write, we get small snippets of entertainment from our dudes. Like the television specials, some are funny and some are more emotional, some we read with ease and others with unease. Here is a sample of tonight's entertainment:
8:00 PM - Santa Claus Is Coming to Town Or Is He
8:30 PM - The Sears Lingerie Special featuring Roseanne Barr
9:00 PM - As the World Keeps Turning
9:30 PM - Nostradamus Fu: Midwest Medium
10:00 PM - Pants Optional
10:30 PM - And Now The News
And with that, we shall reveal the results.
Our inductee into the Members Only Diamond Club is Kevin from Who Woulda Thought with his touching Do They Know It's Christmas. A post worthy of the honors bestowed. The honesty of a father, hurting for someone else's children, is something we all felt this past week.
Congrats, and head on over to the Diamond Club to link up!
There are two Chairman's Choice awards this week.
Last week's Diamond, who happens to be Editor WilyGuy said: "Brett Minor makes me laugh in that subtle way that I get a nice immediate laugh, followed a bit later by a better deeper chuckle when all the subtle humor overwhelms me. As we chose a similar topic this week, I was thrilled to read his miraculous fortune cookie of Fortune Cookie #5 Mayan Apocalyptic Debacle where the real miracle appears to be life going on with family. Given the week, this is a beautiful thing."
Your other editor also had an opinion this week.
Youngman Brown said, "It is currently Christmas Eve, and I am tucked warmly in bed at my parents' house, having just read all of our posts from this week. And I can't ignore the glow that Ken's post, "Ho Ho Holy crap, this is a long post" ignited in my heart. Yes, I might be older now. And no, I might not have unimaginable goodies waiting for me under the tree tomorrow morning, but the anticipatory magic of Christmas will never go away. Especially when I can stay up late on Christmas Eve and read wonderful posts like Ken's from the glow of my laptop, when I should really be asleep so that Santa can come."
Congratulations to all of the new Man Card winners this week. If you didn't get yours this week, come back again on Thursday and try again!
