Dudettes: The X Factor

We are thrilled to have you here, whether you are a Writer Dude, a Blogger Dude, a Reader Dude or a Fanatic of good writing. If you've stumbled upon us via a link and wondering what you've gotten yourself into, our Mission Statement should explain it all.

We've Taken Down the Sign This Week

Dudes wouldn't be anything without the support of the Dudettes that read us, tweet us, laugh at us when we are funny and sometimes when we aren't.  We decided that it was time to honor them. Our post this week goes up Wednesday in order to allow extra time to get asked or ask to be asked to this dance.





For Dude Write 10, we decided that the X Factor would be the Dudettes.  

As the Beach Boys said, Two Girls for Every Boy....

Now, we have rules when it comes to Dude Write and we can't just let anyone off the street throw a posey into the Dude space, right?  So, it's simple. 

In order to compete, you have to be invited by one of our past Dude entrants. Proper nod/link within your post to your sponsor as well as a link to DudeWrite is acceptable.

Each of our past Dude's can invite 2 Dudettes.

Dude Write Rules

For a quick guide on linking up, see the Dude Write Rules page for everything you need to know. To Summarize:

Write Original, Quality, Non-commercialized (or Pornographic) posts.

Read other Dudette's entries and tweet / comment the ones you like.

Come back Sunday night though Tuesday and vote on what you liked.

Shortly after voting ends, a wonderful follow-up post will arrive with our patented (no not really, but they should be) Lady's Man Cards (yeah that sounds bad) and our Wo-Man Card (again, not our best wording) or a simple delicate Honorary Man Card to be displayed on your awards page. We will also be giving out our Chairman's Choice which there will be at least 2 of those for the week.

We will also be honoring the best comment on the Starting Lineup with our Color Commentator Man Card. (We're still honoring a Dude with that one, just to make sure they are still paying attention)

And Then? 

There is no more "and then" if you have questions post 'em to Twitter or contact the editors.
